A horse magazine subscription makes an excellent horse lover gift for several reasons:
1. Horse magazines both educate and entertain.
2. There are quite a few to choose from, so chances are you can find one tailor made to fit your horse lover's needs.
3. Most subscriptions come every month, so they will not only appreciate you when they first receive the gift, but every month thereafter as well.
4. Finally, this horse gift too can be personalized in a couple of ways.
There are several places online where you can get a horse magazine subsciption. I've included some of the magazines you can choose from for your horse fan. Try to consider his or her riding discipline or specialty area, ie: english or western, dressage, hunter/jumper, cutting, reining, endurance rider or backyard horseman. Look for the magazine description that best fits your horse enthusiast. Hopefully, these will give you some direction.

Plus, every issue also includes a breed profile, a quiz, a puzzle page, a pen pal section and reader pictures and contributions.

Personalizing Your Gift
I did mention personalizing these, didn't I? There are actually several ways. First, make a fancy gift certificate informing your recipient of the impending horse magazine gift. Give a few details like magazine name, what it's about, how many issues they'll receive, etc. Make sure you include the occasion for which the gift is being presented, date, your name, etc. Make the certificate in Microsoft Word using "wordart" and fancy script, and USE
COLORS to make it BOLD and STRIKING.
Another way to personalize giving horse magazines is to create a personal and unique card. If you have a digital camera, or have your pictures put on a CD when you get them developed (you can have that done at the WalMart photo center), get a picture of your horse lover's horse to use for your card. If this is not possible, use horse clipart or a picture of your recipient instead. (You can find links to various horse clipart sites on my That's-a-Wrap page.) I make all my own cards on my computer using
My Card Maker.
It's simple and fun. You can use your own pictures or clipart, and it's free. Go ahead and give it a try.
A third idea you can use to personalize your gift of a horse magazine subscription is to print out a picture of the magazine cover and then create your own special package to put it in. Just head on over to my
That's-a-Wrap
page for ideas and instructions on how you can create your own custom-designed gift box special made for your horse loving friend.
Of course, the ultimate in personalization would be to combine all three of these ideas into one spectacular horse lover gift that will definitely make an impression on your loved one.
